Castell Bron-Niwl is a generally oval earthwork enclosure, about 100m north-south by 68m, tapering to the south, defined by a rampart and ditch except where it rests on steep natural slopes on the east and south-east, having a clearly defined south-west facing entrance. The site was bulldozed and ploughed from 1985.
