Plumstone Rath is a banked oval enclosure, about 87m north-east to south-west by 59m, having a south-east facing entrance, opening into a banked annex, 89m east-west by 36m; the interiors of both enclosure and annex have been levelled up, the site being set on south-east facing slopes.
