A ploughed-down mound crossed by a hedgebank, 24m in diameter and 0.5m high, when opened by Fenton (e.19th century) revealed a large cist, sealed by a capstone c.2.6m long, containing a 'holed axe-hammer' and traces of a possible inhumation.
