'One of many cairns on the uplands above the Rhondda Valley that were once more obvious than they are today, due to the activities of the Forestry Commission in the 1960s and 70s. The site is overgrown and a marker cairn that formerly stood on one side has been destroyed, with the stones scattered about. There is a cast iron boundary marker in the centre, and a modern memorial stone on one side of the mound.'
