Description
Footings of a rectilinear structure, about 9.0m square, apparently open ended to the north-west, otherwise defined by traces of stone walls, 1.5-2.0m across: the remains of the structure appear to consist of a single course, or spread of stones: identified in the wake of flooding in the winter of 2001-2, when picked out by debris.
The site, on the Teifi floodplain, seems unsuitable for buildings, particularily of stone-founded clom construction; possibly a fold, although it might be compared to the field-barn nearby, at SN61064957.
The building does not appear on the Tithe Map (1843) or the OS County series (Cardigan. XXXIV.10 1888).
