Description
The proposed route of Margary's Wroxteter-Trefeglwys RR64 (Nprn304930) between Westbury and Forden Gaer (Nprn94012), passing over the Long Mountain: an early estate map shows a road passing through the Forden Gaer site, perhaps indicating the line of an e.modern road along the route proposed here.
(source Os linear file; RR64)
A section cut across a stretch of Offa's Dyke (Nprn306866) thought to have been founded on the road along part of this route failed to locate any road structure: a route passing to the S of the Long Mountain is preferred.
