Description
NAR SJ26E6

A promontory above the western side of the Wepre Brook has been cut off by twin ditches forming an enclosure about 32m deep and only 12m across.
The enclosure might be thought too small to be a later prehistoric style promontory fort and this may be a medieval castle site, possibly a counter castle to Ewloe (NPRN 94447), on a similar site some 150m south on the far side of the valley.
