St Teilo's church is located at the corner of Aberthaw Avenue and Ladyhill Road. The church was built in the mid-1960s on a housing estate on the east side of Newport. It has the appearance of a temporary, prefabricated structure on the outside though the interior is spacious and well ordered under a segmental ceiling. It is lit by slit windows to the north and south.
