St Mary's church was located on what was then the north-eastern margins of Treherbert, at the very end of Church Street, a cul-de-sac. It was built in 1865-6 to the designs of architect Charles Buckeridge of Oxford. However, it was demolished in the 1970s and three houses built on it's site.
