Description
1. Late Elizabethan garden arch in restrained Classical style with garden walls. Constructed of slate rubble, traces of rendering remain, with sandstone dressings. Approximately 1m thick and 4m high. Slightly recessed inner arch of finer sandstone. The initials I.W. flank a carved eagle at the top, and the hearaldic badges of John Wynn adourn the sides. The wall runs for approximately 5m to the L and 7m to the R, where it steps down and continues for another 7m.
