DescriptionMelin Cadnant was a large two-storey mill set in the deep, narrow valley of the Afon Cadnant, sited where a high head of water was available. The building was some 16 by 10 metres on plan, and with large cellars accessed from the front of the building. The wheel pit, on the west gable, would have accommodated an overshot wheel 6.8 metres diameter and 0.9 metres wide. Inside the mill a french bedstone remained in situ.
By 2006 the mill had been entirely demolished and its site incorporated into the garden of the former mill cottage to the north.
