Description
The timber lychgate in St. Garmon's Church (NPRN 146204) was designed by John Douglas of Chester in the Arts and Crafts style and constructed c.1900. Mounted on a stone plinth wall, the lychgate has cambered tie beams on Gothic carved brackets and a red tiled roof. There are benches down the sides, and a slate cross set in the floor. The low gates have trefoiled open upper panels and diagonally boarded lower panels. There are slate war memorials attached to the stone plinth walls.
