Description
A prefabricated garage put up in the 1920s to house Laugharne's first automobile, a Wolseley belonging to a summer resident at the Boathouse (nprn 17122). In 1949 it was adapted as a writing shed for Dylan Thomas, when windows, a stove and other furniture were installed. It is now preserved as a sort of shrine.
This is a boarded shed supported by cast iron pillars, with a pitched roof. It has casement windows and preserves its original double doors at the west end. It is situated some 70m south-west of the Boathouse, presumably at the original limit of vehicular access.
