DescriptionA medieval enclosed bath measuring some 10.5 ft by 14 ft, now open to the sky with older work surmounted by recent walling. A set of early steps enter the chamber at one corner, now built over by later walling. The drain for the chamber can be blocked with a large plug, allowing it to fill, with the overflow issuing through a carved stone head with part of its upper body. The carving is quite worn and difficult to date precisely.
