Description1. 17th century or 18th century well house of slabby sandstone construction, measuring approximately 3-4m in plan. Form is of a steep barrel vault, with an arched entrance of the same profile. at the top of the structure there area stone ridges dressed into triangular blocks sitting on top of the pediment of the arch. sits over a tank approximately 3msq. Walls of the tank finished with lime render. Large example of a group of similar buildings in the area. (CADW listings description Record No.2108).

2. Stone-built well house, possibly eighteenth century but may be earlier. It lies adjacent to what was the main route between Monmouth and Abergavenny/Grosmont, opposite the former New Inn which now a farmhouse. It has a steeply pitched stone roof over an internal vaulted ceiling. The water tank measures 3.5m by 3.2m and at1.5m deep, holds approximately 17,000 litres of water, supplied by a spring uphill to the northeast. The front wall had collapsed, revealing the method of construction, but the building has recently been restored.
