DescriptionA windmill tower, dating from 1825 and formerly known as Melin Du. It comprises a tall circular tapering tower of five storeys, built of coursed rubble, and there was formerly an adjacent barn and kiln with cartshed. The mill was no longer working in 1890. In 1981 the ancillary buildings were demolished and a modern house was built on the site, incorporating the mill tower which was rendered as part of the building programme. It is depicted and annotated as 'Old Windmill' on the Ordnance Survey 25in County series mapping of 1878. Some 200m to the west-north-west is another windmill tower (nprn 33252).
