Description1. Artificial lake created by Capability Brown and others.
2. Lake in Wynnstay Park (Nprn37456), designed & constructed from 1777, ceremonially 'opened', 1784; a flat-topped earthen dam across course of Belan stream, featuring a rockwork cascade; a secondary sluice feeding a water-wheel (Nprn33632): shown as intact on OS County series 1st ed. (Denbigh. XXXV.11 1874), the dam is thought to have failed at the cascade & the lake is shown drained by the 2nd ed. (1899): can be associated with:
