2. Farmstead is nprn 277589). C17 lobby-entry 2-window house said by owner to have been restored from derelict in the 1970s. Known as Lower Cwm Farm in 1842, Brook Farm by 1886. Rubble-stone walls with slate roof and stack to the L rebuilt in freestone and narrower than the original stack. Entrance to L has pointed doorway in chamfered wooden surround Windows are inserted sashes under concrete heads, forming raked half-dormers in the upper storey. Attached to the R gable end are 2 successive additions, higher than the original house, of rubble and slate roofs, also with inserted sash windows. Attached to the L side is a barn (nprn 270187).
