Description
A large drystone, sub-rectangular enclosure, is located at the head of a small valley, or gulch. Roughly polygonal, it measures approximately 70m NNW-SSE x 60m, the east side bound by an outcrop. The west and north sides are formed by drystone walls on boulder footings standing up to 1.5m high, whilst the south side is intermittent. There is a narrow entrance to the north end. The enclosure is shown on the 1891 OS map, and the height of the walls suggest a post-medieval date. The site lies north-west of a hut circle settlement (NPRN 96519) but is not obviously associated with it.
