Description
A branch of Llanwenarth Baptists established themselves as the Welsh Baptist Chapel in Tudor Street in 1769, the chapel closed in 1889, largely due to the decline of the Welsh language in the area. The building was later used by the Salvation Army and as a Mission Hall. It was demolished in 1957. Source: notes by Frank Olding of Abergavenny Museum. 2004.06.09/RCAHMW/SLE
