Description
An embanked oval enclosure, about 22m north-west to south-east by 16m, set towards the top of the eastern slopes of a low ridge. In the early nineteenth century this area was enclosed in Middleton Hall Park (NPRN 86175). It is depicted as a tree clump enclosure on the 1st edition OS County series (Carmarthen. XL.11 1888), but does not appear on the second edition of 1906.

Pre-park arrangements in this area are represented by several linear earthwork features, old boundaries or trackways. Similar features have been recorded elsewhere in the park (see NPRN 401679, 401730-1).

Recorded during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance.
