A striking Board School in the Queen Anne style favoured in late 19th century, with a well preserved front. Constructed in 1894 it has a red brick facade with terracotta and red stone detailing under a slate roof. The present windows are mainly painted timber mullioned and transomed windows under cambered heads, with small panes incorporating casements below pivoting lights in the taller windows. Apart from the principal road elevation most of windows and doors are replacements.
