2. Siemen's Laboratory where 'open-hearth' steel making was perfected. It is of late 19th century date. A very ruined rectangular building with a heavy stone plinth around the bottom and windows outlined in stone. At the N. end are eight chimneys inserted into the original structure. Building was de-scheduled and demolished circa 1989.
