Description
The culvert is in ashlar with flush voussoirs. It carries water from a spring which descends alongside the incline plane from the quarry on the hill above. The culvert runs below the canal then emerges in a short open dog-leg to provide drainage between the canal and the later railway before continuing under the railway embankment.
