A disused windmill is shown on the 1st and 2nd editions of the 25-inch OS maps (1890 and 1900). It was demolished in 1908 when a convent was built, but a trigonometrical survey point remained at the site. The street names 'Mill Bank' and 'Maes-y-Felin' remain nearby.
