Description
Appearing on the map of 1834, Henton house is early/mid C19, with late C20 alterations forming part of a group of historic buildings around the Church of St. Mary. Built of roughly squared red sandstone rubble, the building has a natural slate roof with stone stacks. It has a single depth central plan with a rear outshut. It is two storeys and has three windows, 1 + 1 + 1, with the central one set slightly forward. There is a plain doorway with a part glazed door and flat hood over. The windows are all late C20 plastic units. There are also iron spear-head railings attached to the front and a single storey outshut at the rear.
