Description
The only surviving parts of this former water corn mill are the lower course of the south-west corner, the lower part of the wheel pit which could have accommodated an overshot wheel 1.06 metres wide, and some stonework facing of the mill dam which once supported the end of the launder. The stream has eroded a shallow trench through the millpond and now runs through the wheel pit. Earth moving and dumping have partly obliterated the site, but part of the mill dam survives.
Felin Fach is shown on the 1st edition O.S. 25-inch map of 1889, immediately south of a bank holding back a large millpond. By 1900, as shown on the 2nd edition map, the building had gone but the bank and the wheelpit are shown; the 1919 map shows only part of the silted pond.
