Description
A series of small levels on the north-east flank of Moelwyn Bach, at an altitude of between 540 and 600 metres above sea level. The highest ones are obscured by tipped and fallen rock, and may be the earliest, dating from the 1820s. To the north are four more adits which may have been little more than trial diggings. Production is likely to have been very small, and it was carried away by pack animals along a track leading westwards over Bwlch Stwlan and down Cwm Maesgwm. There are ruins of two small elongated buildings, possibly barracks, and a lower track leads to an incline skirting the later tips down to a third building where it peters out.
