Description
South Lodge, Glanusk, is a small lodge in Tudor Gothic style, composed of a short main range orientated north-south of one and a half storeys and a basement. It has a gabled porch to the east side and a single-storeyed gabled wing to the west. There is a 20th century extension to the rear. It is constructed of rock-faced coursed grey masonry under a slate-covered half-hipped roof. The south gable of the main range faces the driveway. It has a large canted bay window with a hipped roof containing a mullioned and transomed window. The porch is open, with segmental stone arches and hoodmoulds. Above the east arch is a shield. The interior of the porch has a ribbed vaulted ceiling.
