The name "Pandy" is given to this group of buildings on the west bank of the Afon Meloch; Llwyn-Iolyn is the name of an adjacent farm. A mill race 65 metres long diverted water to a pond, and a sluice controlled water flowing to the mill. The modern map shows a building on part of the footprint of the pandy buildings.
