Description
Deserted farmstead situated to the W of the river Gwys. Photographed during aerial reconnaissance by RCAHMW on Oct 14th 2009.
L Osborne, RCAHMW. Dec 15th 2009.

'A ruined farmstead located on elevated and sloping ground between the confluence of Gwys fawr and Gwys fach rivers. It consists of an abandoned farmstead and enclosures, apparently a smallholding jutting far into open moorland (`sheepwalks? on the tithe map). On the map the farm itself lay close to the river, a site now represented by ill-defined rubble foundations. The far more prominent ruins of a house with adjoining outbuilding, does not look particularly old and is not shown on the tithe map. Presumably it was built around 1900 to replace the original farmstead.'
