Description

An alignment of boulders is located in craggy limestone moorland at an altitude of more than 460m above OD.
Four boulders of various sizes form a rough alignment measuring 16m long on a bearing of 19 deg.mag. (NNE-SSW). The largest block, at the south end, measures 1.3m high and 1.2m by 0.75m across. The rocky ground hereabouts is scattered with debris, mostly glacial erratics. These boulders, however, do form an alignment suggesting they were arranged as such from nearby randomly scattered boulders. The row has been seen to align with a boulder to the north-east, on the horizon at SN86581549, though adverse weather conditions prevented this observation being made when the site was visited.
Site initially recognised by Simon Charlesworth and Dr P Hodges, Bridgend.
