Description
Melin Pen-llechog is a former corn mill, built from roughly course and squared rubble, and now converted to a dwelling. The mill would have occupied the south-west part of the building, and the mill house the north-east part. The wheel was at the south-west gable, and the lower part of the wheelpit is said to be covered over inside the modern garage. The course of the tailrace is clearly visible in the field below the mill.
Inside, the constructional timbers have been altered, but the position of the sack hoist hatch, with rope marks, is visible in the ceiling of the lounge. A cast iron journal, bolted to the side of one of the ceiling beams, has probably been moved from elsewhere.
