Description
This site is named as a woollen factory on all three editions of the 25-inch O. S. map. the presence of a leat, millpond and tailrace suggest that there was a waterwheel inside the buildings, at approximately the mid-point. The building has been converted to a dwelling, with rendered walls under a slate roof, and an asbestos-roofed extension at the north-east gable. The upper windows to the front elevation are irregular in size and arrangement, the three centre ones extending upwards under shed dormers.
Above the mill the course of the stream has been affected by realignment of the main road, obscuring the intake for the leat.
