DescriptionThe nineteenth century water-powered Bont Uchel Sawmill is supplied by a short leat from a weir across the Afon Clywedog. Both the weir and leat still exist. The sawmill is marked as operational on the 1912 Ordnance Survey 25 inch plan, and may have worked later, but is now part of a dwelling.
