PeriodPost Medieval
Description
1. 19th century mill (use uncertain) on medieval site. Destroyed.

2. This mill was the Upper Woollen Factory, one of two factories adjacent to each other on Glannant Road. Water was diverted from Tawelan Brook to the north-west of the town, coming to the site along a leat more than 1.8km long. There were three mill ponds along the north side of the road to the west of the factory, and its tail water supplied the Lower Factory pond. Two dwellings no on the site may be conversions from former mill buildings.
