A group of buildings on the west side of the A498 road, where it crosses an unnamed stream draining steep slopes to the west, has the place-name Factory-Glaslyn which is indicative of a former woollen mill. The place is named on all three editions of the 25-inch O. S. map, but is not recorded as a working mill. Map evidence suggests that there was a waterwheel at the south-west end of the buildings.
