DescriptionA major weir across the River Usk, some 200 metres long incorporating two islands, pounded up water for Forge Mill, which is situated on the left bank of the river below Trostrey Lodge. It is depicted as being in use on the 1st and 2nd editions of the 25-inch O. S. maps of 1882 and 1901, but disused on the 3rd edition of 1920. Modern maps show that the main part of the building survives.
