Description
The Llanmarch Tramroad was a plateway of an unknown gauge, dating from 1795, from several lime and coal works at Llammarch to provide for Clydach Iron Works. The plateway was extended in 1803 to Gilwern wharf on the canal. The route lay on the south of Clydach Gorge, the mineral workings being at SO 219121 with unloading facilities at SO 244145.
