Description
Like the other homes at Pentwyn Villas to which it is very similar, numbers 7 and 8 was constructed in the early part of the twentieth century as part of the wider, middle-class suburban development in the northern area of the Penydarren estate. The buildings were constructed prior to 1919, as they appear on the 3rd edn 25? O.S. map of that date.

Numbers 7 and 9 are semi-detached homes which form a single, two-storey structure of four bays with a two-storey garage attached to number 7. The two central bays of the structure have two-storey bay windows under a double-peaked timbered gable with finials supported on large brackets between and on either side of the bay windows. Behind is a hipped roof with a central chimney stack. The outer bays contain first-storey entrances in square openings with second-storey windows above. The garage has a flat roof and a second-storey window. The structure is surrounded by a low brick wall with ball finials to the posts flanking the gate to number 7 and on the post dividing the properties.
