DescriptionOriginally known as Llandough Hospital, the hospital was renamed in 2008, and is now known as University Hospital Llandough. Opening in 1933 in response to insufficient accommodation for the treatment of infectious diseases at City Lodge, Cardiff the hospital is now a district general hospital, with 480 beds. Used for research as well as the training of undergradates and postgraduates, the hospital is run by the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
