The solar farm, near Llancayo, Usk, is one of the first such complexes in Wales. Once completed in July 2011, it will generate enough electricity to power more than 1,100 residential homes. 22,000 solar panels have been erected on above ground frames for large-scale electricity generation by means of photovoltaic panels. The solar farm covers an area of a Roman marching camp (NPRN 409178).
