The open-air swimming baths at Allt-yr-Yn in Newport opened in July 1934. Unusual in its design, the changing boxes were housed in a circular building leaving the baths open to the parkland and woods behind rather than being enclosed by them. The baths closed in the 1960s and were subsequently demolished. The site is now heavily wooded and forms part of a local nature trail.
