St. John Lloyd Catholic comprehensive school caters for 11-16 year old, with approx. 500 pupils on roll. The school moved into the current building in 1992 and is maintained by Carmarthenshire Local Education Authority. The building is mostly single storey red-brick, with low pitched tiled roof. St. John Lloyd school serves Llanelli, Carmarthen, Ammanford and the surrounding areas.
