Cardiff International Pool forms part of the Cardiff Sports Village in Cardiff Bay. Opened in February 2008, the pool was a £32 million development project. Construction commenced in April 2006, and was a partnership between Cardiff Council, Laing O'Rourke Contractors, OLLC (a partnership between Orion Land and Leisure and Explore Investment), and the operator Parkwood Leisure. The complex boosts a ten lane 50 metre international standard competition pool, with floating floors, flume rides, beach area, plunge pool and water slides, as well as seating for 1,000 spectators.
