Dinas Powys Golf Course opened in May 1914, as a nine-hole golf course, following an initial meeting in 1912 to for the Dinas Powys Golf Club and conversion of the 38 acre Highwalls Farm. Ordnance Survey County Series mapping 6" 2nd edition shows Highwalls Farm, with the golf course and clubhouse appearing on the 3rd edition of 1922, extending from Highwalls north to Hales Wood.
