Description
A roofless, circular building standing on a rectangular, built-up platform, with four openings in the walls set at 90 degrees, and set within a complex of small buildings, some of which were cottages. It was formerly connected to a rectangular building on the south-west side, although if there had once been direct access from one to the other, it had been blocked. Access was through the south-east opening, and the other two have been partially blocked to form window openings. There was a fireplace and chimney, and two further alcoves in the internal walls. The original purpose of the building is obscure, but it may have been an office.
