Description
The Mariner's Chapel is known to have been sited within this vicinity. In 1880 its location was described as being near Laugharne Castle, immediately south of the open space known as the Grist. At that time it was noted that only the ivy-coloured walls remained. It reportedly had a stoup and piscine, although these could not be traced by 1912. At that time the remains of the building were described as rectilinear and orientated east to west. Measurements were given as 35ft x 20ft, and the site reportedly formed part of a business premises. The remains were noted to be situated below the high water mark.
