Low mounds were noted at this location in 1912, and thought to indicate the remains of a building. Modern LiDAR data confirms the existence of curvilinear features. This field and the adjacent (east) one are depicted as one field on historic (1885 and 1906) Ordnance Survey mapping. In 1912 the field was known as 'Parc y tump'.
