Description
According to local tradition, a chapel, known as the chapel of St Egwad, preceded St Egwad's Church (NPRN 309912) and was located in this vicinity, noted to be a field some 130m north of the church site. However, it is thought that the current church site has a long history of use. The chapel was reputedly converted to a dwelling in the eighteenth century (possibly in the vicinity of the site of Castell Hywel).
